First School Transition and Children with Special Support Needs (French)

As part of our HSD 2026 programming, discover inspiring practices related to the first school transition (T1) and children with special support needs.

Our Pratique + workshop will present the collaborative approach of the Regional Committee on the Transition to School, through concrete tools developed around the five key moments of the first school transition. The presentation will be followed by a question period.

This activity will highlight:

the questions raised by parents and early childhood professionals regarding the school transition of children with special support needs;
the responses, resources, and levers within the school system (school service centres and Montreal school boards) to support this transition.
