Encouraging young people to stay in school.

Launched 20 years ago in the Montérégie region, Hooked on School Days (HSD) has evolved into a Quebec-wide movement over the years. HSD in Montreal, coordinated by Réseau réussite Montréal – RRM, is embarking on its 14th edition in 2024.

Across Quebec, 18 regional consulting authorities, including RRM, mobilize their communities in the 3rd week of February around encouraging students to persevere in school and achieve success.

This annual awareness-raising and mobilizing event is thus a Quebec-wide platform to encourage and acknowledge the motivations and aspirations of young people, from toddlers to young adults, and highlight the vital contributions made by everyone who supports them.

HSD is an opportunity to:

  • Raise public awareness of the importance of persevering at school.

  • Acknowledge the commitment of everyone, at every level, who works to help young people succeed at school.

  • Recognize the gestures that everyone makes to support school perseverance.

  • Raise awareness of issues related to educational success – for RRM, this means Montreal-specific issues.

  • But above all, taking the time to stop and recognize the achievements of our young people, congratulate them for their efforts, and encourage them.
