Perseverance will take you far

In today’s fast-paced world, where we tend to value immediate results, it’s vital to remember that success takes time.

Success happens by overcoming challenges, through trial and error and, above all, with unwavering commitment. And it is perseverance—the ability to keep going despite the obstacles—that lets us overcome hurdles we once thought insurmountable.

And behind every person who perseveres, there’s someone who believes in them.

Persevering at school doesn’t happen through individual willpower alone. It takes root in environments where every gesture of support nurtures confidence and the desire to move forward.

Small gestures that mean a lot

Supporting perseverance at school can be as easy as:

  • Saying, “I’m proud of you”
  • Valuing progress, not just grades
  • Sharing your own journey, with all its detours, twists, and turns
  • Helping someone set short-term goals
  • Creating a climate where mistakes are learning opportunities
  • Presenting diverse models of resilience and perseverance
  • Being flexible with an employee’s work schedule during exam periods
  • Arranging for study time in the workplace

Gestures like these move us toward a culture of perseverance, in which every youth in school and adult in training feels supported and encouraged to continue their educational journey.

Join the movement!

During Hooked on School Days (HSD), from February 16 to 20, 2026, join the movement supporting anyone who is learning, moving forward, and persevering. Here are several ways to participate. Choose the ones that inspire you.

Here’s how you can take part:

  • Download the campaign resources and visuals to share the message with those around to encourage youth in school and adults in training.
