PersiVERDANT Thursday

February 15th, 2024

Green is the symbol of youth and hope, which is why we use it in the school perseverance ribbon, and why we are celebrating it with Green Thursday.

On Thursday, February 15, we’re going green to show our support for the importance of staying in school. It’s an easy way for everyone to join in.

On Thursday, February 15, 2024, dare to wear green:

  1. Put on a green article of clothing or accessory (shoes, tie, scarf, tuque, shoelaces, glasses) or decorate your class or office in green. Get creative!
  2. Take a picture and share it on social media, using the hashtag #perséVERT2024

Let's all show our commitment to school perseverance!

Why green?

Green is the symbol of youth and hope. It represents the young people who need our recognition and support every day in order to persevere.

It is also one of the school perseverance ribbon colours, along with white, a blend of all the other colours and a metaphor for the community that contributes to youth development.
