Health Takes You Far!

Enroll for the activity

This event, offered in two complementary components, invites participants to visit the exhibition 4, 3, 2, 1… Health! and take part in the interactive workshop All Alike, All Different.

Guided by a museum educator, participants will discover that health is more than the absence of illness—it is a valuable and holistic asset. From the microscopic level to how the human body functions, and the links between human health and planetary health, participants will also learn that health is not solely an individual responsibility. It is influenced by social factors, including education, which play a crucial role in population health.

The All Alike, All Different workshop offers a participatory experience at the intersection of biology and sociology. Participants explore the mechanisms behind stereotypes and prejudice, learn that the concept of “race” has no scientific basis in humans, and become aware of the effects of exclusion and bullying—forms of social stress—on brain function and mental health. Conversely, they discover that caring for others benefits both the person receiving care and the person giving it.

All essential elements for fostering health, well-being, and school perseverance!

Date and time: Thursday, February 19, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
